Free 7-day trial · no credit card · nothing to install · five-minute setup

Most employee monitoring software answers an everyday question (who’s actually online, and how much?) by installing an agent on every laptop and recording screens and apps. If that everyday question is the one you have, there is a lighter way. Presify reads the presence Microsoft Teams already has: nothing to install, no screenshots, no keystrokes, no message content.

The green dot misleads both ways.

Always green, rarely around

Someone can stay green all day and barely be around. A mouse jiggler is enough to keep Teams showing Available, and a glance at the dot can’t tell the difference.

Always yellow, online after hours

Someone who always looks yellow when you check might be doing their best work at 11pm. The dot at 2pm never shows it; the history shows the hours they were online after dark.

Presify keeps the record, so your read on your team comes from the pattern, not a glance.

…employees want flexibility without feeling watched.

A Presify per-person timeline: online time this week and this month, a four-week average, after-hours time, a weekly online-time trend, and typical start and end times. Sample data.
One person’s record: online time, the after-hours split, and the weekly trend. Sample data shown.

What you get

A timeline for every person

Every status change on a 24-hour day view, one timeline per person, and a team view of the whole day. Up to a year of history, depending on plan.

Online time, totals and trends

Weekly and monthly online time for each person, with a multi-week trend and the business-hours vs after-hours split, plus a team average on the dashboard.

Flags for presence that looks gamed

From Standard up, Presify flags the pattern a mouse jiggler or keep-alive script tends to leave: a long stretch online with no idle time at all. Pro and up run all six flags, including unbroken Available and robotic regularity, and show the math behind each one.

Reports you can hand over

Excel and PDF reports on demand or on a schedule, plus CSV export of the underlying data, with the sampling method stated.

History length, reports, and the full set of flags depend on your plan. See pricing and the full feature list.

How it works

01

Sign in with Microsoft

A Microsoft 365 admin signs in and approves read-only access on Microsoft’s own consent screen. No agent to deploy, no new password.

02

Pick who to track

Choose people from your directory. Guests are never tracked, and people whose Microsoft 365 directory location is in the EEA, the UK, Switzerland, or Canada are excluded automatically.

03

Read the pattern

Presify samples presence on a short, regular interval and builds the history from that point on: timelines, online time, and flags. Setup takes about five minutes.

Agent-based monitoring vs Presify

Both answer “who’s online, and how much?” They get there very differently. This is a category-level comparison; individual products vary, so confirm the details with each vendor.

Best fit

  • You manage a remote or hybrid team on Microsoft 365 and want a directional read on when people are online and how much.
  • You want to know if anyone’s presence looks gamed, without rolling out software to every laptop.
  • You are comfortable telling your team that their Teams presence is tracked.

Not the right tool for

  • You need screenshots, keystroke logging, app and URL tracking, or timesheets. Presify isn’t that tool.
  • You want a productivity score, or a tool that decides whether someone was working.
  • You cannot confirm the people you track are in the United States and covered by your notice policies.

Presence isn’t productivity

Presify gives you a directional read on when people are online and how much, and flags patterns worth a look. What you do with it starts with a conversation. A flag is a pattern, not proof: it marks something worth checking before you judge, and it should never be the only basis for a decision about a person.

Tell your team their Teams presence is tracked. We recommend a short written notice, and some US states require one before tracking begins. Presify shows your team no prompt of its own, so the notice is yours to give; Presify includes an employee notice template you can adapt with your own counsel.

Questions

Is Presify employee monitoring software?
Presify is a Microsoft Teams presence tracker: a lightweight way to monitor one thing, Teams presence. It tracks who’s online, when, and for how long, keeps the history, and flags presence that looks gamed. It does not install an agent, take screenshots, log keystrokes, track apps or websites, or read messages.
Do I have to install anything on my team’s computers?
No. A Microsoft 365 admin signs in once and approves read-only access. Presify reads presence from Microsoft Graph on the server side, so there is nothing to deploy, and it works on any device someone uses Teams on.
Can Presify tell if someone is using a mouse jiggler?
Not with certainty, because presence data can’t prove how an account stayed green. What Presify does is flag patterns a mouse jiggler or keep-alive script tends to leave. Four of Presify’s six automatic flags (unbroken Available, no idle time, robotic regularity, no activity variation) surface those patterns; the other two (overnight presence, weekend uniformity) mark unusual hours, which can just as easily be someone working late. On Pro and up, every flag shows its math. A flag is a pattern worth a look, not proof of anything, so check the context and talk to the person before you draw a conclusion. Not every plan runs flags: Basic and the free trial run none, Standard runs one (Idle suppression), and Pro 50 and up run all six.
Does Presify measure productivity?
No. Presence isn’t productivity. Presify shows when people were online in Teams and how much, which is a directional read, not a score. Someone who looks yellow at 2pm might do their best work at 11pm, and the history shows when they were online.
How precise is the data?
Presence is sampled by polling Microsoft Graph on a short, regular interval, so a timeline shows each person’s status at each sample rather than every momentary change. It is built for patterns across days and weeks, not second-by-second tracking.
How long does setup take, and what does it cost?
About five minutes: one Microsoft sign-in and a read-only approval, then pick who to track. History builds from that point on, since Teams keeps none to import. Pricing is a flat monthly tier by the number of people you track, and there is a free 7-day trial with no credit card. The trial tracks only you, the admin who signs in; upgrade to add your team.
Should I tell my team?
Yes, we recommend it, and some US states require written notice before electronic monitoring begins. Presify records presence at every hour of the day, evenings and weekends included, so your notice should cover those hours too, and some state laws limit monitoring outside working hours. Presify shows your team no prompt of its own when an admin approves access, so the notice is yours to give. Presify includes an employee notice template you can adapt with your own counsel.
Who can use Presify?
US organizations on Microsoft 365 with Teams. Guests are never tracked, and people whose Microsoft 365 directory location is in the EEA, the UK, Switzerland, or Canada are excluded automatically.
