Why Presify exists
Anyone who manages a remote or hybrid team on Microsoft 365 has looked at a green dot and wondered. Teams shows presence in the moment, and neither Teams nor the Microsoft 365 admin center offers a presence history to look back on. No yesterday, no last week, no pattern. So your read on the team comes from glances, and a glance leaves out most of the day.
Someone can stay green all day and barely be around: a mouse jiggler keeps Teams green with nobody at the desk. Someone who always looks yellow when you check might be doing their best work at 11pm, long after you’ve logged off. Neither shows up in a glance. Both can leave a pattern in the history, and a few weeks of it can change your mind in either direction.
A week in the record

That is what Presify is: a Microsoft Teams presence tracker that keeps the history. It shows who’s online, when, and for how long, per person and per team, and flags presence that looks gamed, including the patterns a mouse jiggler or keep-alive script tends to leave. It is quick and light on purpose: one read-only Microsoft sign-in, about five minutes to set up, nothing installed on anyone’s laptop, and no screenshots, keystrokes, or message content. It uses the presence Teams already has.
We are also plain about the limits. Presence isn’t productivity. Presify gives you a directional read on when people are online and how much, and flags patterns worth a look. A flag is a pattern, not proof. What you do with it starts with a conversation.
Our principles
Four commitments that shape every feature, and where to check each one yourself.
A Microsoft 365 admin approves four read-only application permissions, and each person who signs in grants the delegated User.Read permission. Zero write permissions. Presify cannot send a message, change a setting, or read mailbox content in your tenant. By construction, not by policy.
The documentation lists every permission and what it is for.
We collect presence status changes, the basic directory information needed to label and scope people, and each person’s Outlook time zone and working hours. Never email, chat, call, file, or calendar content. If a feature would need more, the default answer is no.
The consent step lists what Presify can see and never sees, and presence is collected only for the people you choose to monitor.
Presence isn’t productivity, and a flag isn’t proof. Every flag shows how its pattern is calculated, and the Member presence report carries a notice that presence data should never be the sole basis for a disciplinary or employment decision.

Tenant isolation enforced in the database, encryption everywhere, least-privilege internal access, and an append-only audit trail (viewable and exportable on Pro and Scale). The unglamorous parts are the product.
